Tri-City Baptist Church exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our desire is to invite individuals to a place where they can "believe, belong, and become". Our history dates back to 1989, when a small group of people founded this church in Hickory, North Carolina. We are a local self-governing, autonomous church.

Believe
It is our goal to create an atmosphere where Christians of all ages learn to believe deeply in a living and resurrected Savior. That in believing, they will have a belief system that will help them stand in the shifting stand of a corrupt world.
Belong
It is our goal that each person would share this belief system, and will find a deep sense of belonging. The Christian faith creates a family. A family gives a person a wonderful feeling of belonging. It is our desire that each person finds Tri-City a place where they feel apart of the body of Christ.
Become
It is our goal that each person grows and become all Christ would have them be. Growth and development are the most important part of the Christian life. The more we understand about our faith, the better off we are to meet the challenges of our everyday life.

Yes, they are bold statements, and yes, it is challenging work to make it happen, but we believe that it is the mission and the joy Christ has given our church. That is why every Sunday, we invite people to join the exciting prospect of being a part of our growing fellowship.
